ok so...

this post it technically posted on monday. but it's about sunday. hence the title, "super sunday." anyways...

so i woke up at around 9:45AMish, took a shower, got dressed, and headed to church with phillip for the 10:15 service. it was a really good service. great message and what not.

after church...we went back to my place. sat around in my living room and waited for kevin to get out of his church. so we call him...turns out he ended up not going to church. so we pick him up and go back to my house.

actually, i drop them off and i head over to get a haircut. my usual location was closed because it was sunday. so i went to supercuts. which is whack because it's mad expensive. (well...for the type of haircuts i get) i felt i needed the haircut seeing that i was gonna be at ultimate brawl and no one wants to be seen with whacked out hair at a show like that. my haircut looked pretty good. i liked it.

went home...watched the rest of "21" and then my parents invited the 3 of us (kevin, phillip, and myself) to chili's. (they were already there because they had gone to the 12noon service and went straight over.) so we agree for the free lunch and head over. we each got a half rack of chiiiiiliiiii's baby back ribs and mashed potatoes as a side. it was pretty bomb. (i dont have a picture of the ribs..but i do have a picture of the ending result of the sampler appetizer thing.)

after chili's we went to pick up claudia and meet up with cedric, jackie, and lauren who were suppose to be waiting at my house so we could all leave together for riverside (which is where ultimate brawl takes place, if you couldnt guess that already) get home. kick it outside as we waited for lauren to arrive. lauren arrives. we leave for riverside.

the ride wasnt bad. real chill. the alphabet game is maaad hard when you are the driver. it's too dangerous to play road trip games and drive. yeah. got there in a jiffy (yes. jiffy) and found sweet parking right in front of the venue.

we stood in front of the venue for an hour or so because we got there at 4:10ish and the doors were scheduled to open at 5. but you know how that goes. they opened at 5:15 or whatever. while waiting to go in line, we hear you are able to purchase alcohol at the bar with a special wristband (with you can attain with proper ID, of course), which i have never seen at a show/competition before (except world of dance, but that was at the fairplex) once inside the venue, we stood in the little hall area where the stairs, bathroom, and door to the green room was for about 20mins or so. then we head in to get our seats. this was my first time as a spectator at this show, so i had no clue the balcony was only for performers and those with special white wristbands. so the rest of the seats were floor level. we were kinda elevated however.

i dont like to sit for long periods of time...so i decide to get up and walk around. in doing so...i stumble across theMASSES vending area. i see jp and he tells me to buy a shirt. but he hooks me up so i cant refuse. i was gonna buy the midnight snack one (i like to call it "grumbles' graduation" because it's grumbles the bear kanye-ized.), but they did not have my size. and seeing i cant pass up getting hooked up, i decided to go with the dont stop tee. next time, i'll pick up the graduation tee. hopefully they sell at body rock.

word is...show is about to start...

so i head in.

(ultimate brawl takes place)

it was a good show. nothing too fancy but it got the job done. the only thing i was disappointed with was the sound. maybe the sound was blocked because i was sitting under the balcony. but i really wished i was able to FEEEEEL the music. but it was all good. i also wished the lighting was better. i remember them having lights in the back the past few years. but there were none to be found tonight.

i'm pretty satisfied with the placings. i felt the judges got it right. major props to grv for holding it down. i'm looking into auditioning for them when the time comes around. i really wanna be on a competing team as well as performing for mavyn. the "getting closer to God" buck section was ridiculous. and they brought back the photons to close the set.

yeah. we go outside.

we chill outside for a bit. (literally chill. it was cold.) i was pretty disappointed because we left to go eat so quickly. i wasnt able to see some friends who were in the show. yeah, we left because some of the group was cold and hungry.

drove around riverside looking for food for a good 20mins. went to university village only to find out every store is closed except starbucks. so we walked across the street to subway. i love subway. (well subs of any kind. togo's especially.) got my self a footlong chicken bacon ranch with heavy ranch (mmmmMmmmm).

then we chilled. and went back to wesco.

however, my night doesnt end there.
